On Saturday September 26, the Columbia River Camaro Club held another fanatic driving event. Called the 3 Capes Tour where we left Portland,Oregon and headed west to the coast and visited the Tillamook Air Museum. The museum is held in a WW2 blimp hanger. The place is all wood, zero metal anywhere due to rationing during the war. Also along the route had many stops at other neat places and played various games for prizes. A favorite for many was the “tower drop” help at the Tillamook Forestry Center. The run had 30 Camaros with 5 out of 6 gen present. On a personal note I was able to have both of my Camaro’s on the run. I drove my 68 while my grandparents drove my 2014 for the day.
Our first stop:
From there to the Air Museum
